Cooking Oils I Ep. 14 I Community Kitchen Teachables

In this episode, Anna is talking through which cooking oils to use for your next cook!

When cooking you’re looking for an oil that has a high smoke point, you want an oil that can take high heat that doesn’t smoke. It can withstand high temperatures.

Vegetable Oil - Very versatile and economical, light taste.

Canola Oil - Similar to vegetable oil in its versatility. Canola oil comes from plants, will taste more organic.

Olive Oil - Wonderful for salad dressings, marinades. If you’d like to cook with it, choose olive oil, not extra virgin olive oil. Great heart-healthy option.

Avocado Oil - It can withstand high heat, it has a strong avocado taste - keep in mind.

Happy Cooking!
