Ingredients

Eldon’s Egg Roll in a Bowl

  • 1 pound ground turkey breast, chicken or pork

  • 1 sweet small onion, chopped

  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame oil

  • 2 Tsp. minced fresh garlic

  • 1 Tsp. ground ginger

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar

  • 116-ounce bag of coleslaw mix

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce

Garnish with crispy wontons & green onions

Eldon’s Egg Roll in a Bowl

Heat skillet or wok or medium-high heat. Add ground meat and cook while stirring until meat is no longer pink. Drain and return meat to skillet.

Add diced onions, sesame oil, and rice vinegar to the skillet. Cook while stirring for a few more minutes until the onion is tender. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce (optional), and coleslaw mix.

Cook while stirring for about 5 to 7 minutes or until cabbage is wilted. Remove skillet from heat. Stir in green onions, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with crispy wontons.
